2015 BIRMINGHAM WOMEN'S 18 & OVER WINTER LEAGUE

CAPTAINS MEETING: SUN., DEC. 14TH 2:00 PM, PELHAM RACQUET CLUB

The 2014 USTA year end ratings have been published and can be viewed at www.usta.com by clicking on TennisLink and then on Leagues. Always login with your password! Next, simply enter your name, your USTA number or your team number in the space provided under Find NTRP Rating Info. To appeal your rating, simply click on appeal!

Registration will open on TennisLink Wednesday, December 3rd. The initial team registration deadline is Friday, December 19th. The initial team registration deadline may be extended by the local league coordinator. If a team wants to register and I have not begun work on the schedule for that level, then I most likely would extend for a brief period of time. If I have already begun work on the schedule for that level, I would most likely not extend the registration deadline!

The maximum number of players per team is sixteen (16). The minimum number of players for the 2.5 and the 5.0+ levels is five (5) as those levels play one singles and two doubles per league match. The minimum number of players for the remaining levels is eight (8) as they play two singles and three doubles per league match. All levels will play a match tiebreak in lieu of a third set and all will use the Coman tiebreak for all tiebreaks.

All players must be current members of USTA throughout the local league season. The league fee is $17.00 per player plus the TennisLink user fee of $3.00 per registration. All players must be registered on TennisLink prior to playing in a match.

The anticipated start date for the winter league is Saturday, January 3rd and the end date is March 7th. Flight playoffs most likely will be scheduled after March 7th. All scheduled matches must be played with a minimum of two courts for the 2.5 and 5.0+ levels and a minimum of three courts for the remaining levels.
