Men's USTA Fall League Registration |
TennisLink registration for the men's USTA fall league will remain open until September 7th. Teams must have a minimum of 8 players signed up by that time (minimum of 5 for the 2.5 & 5.0 levels).
Registered teams may choose when they want to have their home matches. League play will start either the 2nd or 3rd week of September. Players must abide by the ESR (Early Start Ratings) which can be found on the ATA website, AlabamaTA.com - if a player's NTRP rating has not changed, they will not be on the ESR list!

Tennis Team Fundraiser for Nationals |
The 2013 USTA Men's 3.0 Sectional Champions are from Birmingham!!! Greystone YMCA will be hosting a fundraiser to help pay travel expenses as the team goes to nationals in Tuscon, Arizona.

My Men's 2.5 team is going to play and represent Pelham-Alabama and the South at the USTA League National Tournament at the well-known Indian Wells Tennis Resort in Palm Spring, CA, the weekend of October 3-6th. This will be 3rd straight trip to the Nationals!!!

FREE Men's Clinic at Pelham Tennis Center |
Thursday evenings - 6:30 to 7:30pm
Starts on September 12th - there will be a series of 4 clinics.
Instructor: USPTA Pro Steve Faulkner
This clinic is designed for beginner or low-level men with no USTA league experience.
Coach Faulkner will cover all the basic rules, court etiquette, stroke techniques and related footwork. Plus, there will be fun play-type drills to teach doubles strategy.

Yes, for the price of just one dollar you can sign up for four clinics with USPTA Pro Steve Faulkner at the Pelham Tennis Center! Let's do the math - that works out to be 25 cents per clinic. What a deal! Try finding that at Dollar General!
This clinic is designed for low-level women with little or no league experience.
It will be at the PELHAM TENNIS CENTER starting on Thursday, September 12th, from 7:30 to 8:30pm. Coach Steve will teach you the fundamentals of tennis including stroke technique and related footwork. Also learn doubles strategy and some basic rules. Please sign up early as the slots will be limited!

4th Annual UAB Play Against the Blazers Day |
We will be hosting our 4th Annual UAB Play Against the Blazers Day on Sept 21st 9-11am at the Trussville Y. Cost is $20. Part of the proceeds go to the Blazers!

Flex League Registration Open |
Play tennis on your schedule! Flex league registration closes September 29th. The season will run October 7th to December 29th. This league is perfect for people who can't commit to a specific time to play each week as well as those who want extra practice. Learning Excellence Through Tennis Program |
The Learning Excellence Through Tennis (LETT) program is seeking paid tennis instructors for its beginner level youth programs. Training is provided.
Tennis clinics at West Homewood Park ages 4-18 years Saturdays 9-10:30am.
Seeking ways to give back to the community? Learning Excellence Through Tennis is looking for volunteers to help teach inner city after school tennis and life skills starting end of September. Volunteer would be paired with trained tennis instructors. Programs are for youth ages 7-10 and will last for 10 weeks. Volunteer time once a week for an hour!
